Frequently Asked Questions
Questions and Answers
What if I am attacked?
If the screen starts blinking red, two things may happen:
- The good one – you are being scouted. That does no damage to your troops or resources. The player from the other alliance will only get some info about your troops, heroes, and resources, and
- The bad one – you are being attacked.
If you are attacked, you have several options for avoiding battle:
- activate shield (bubble): press the arrow button below your profile picture, choose the type of shield, and activate it.
- teleport anywhere, even one space aside
If avoiding is not an option, you can move all troops away to minimize losses. Also, don’t forget to upgrade the Storehouse, because it protects your resources from theft.
Bring your troops home and ask for reinforcements from other alliance members. The amount of reinforcements depends on the level of your Embassy.
What is the Arena?
The first and only rule that matters about the arena: do not lose. If you lose, you get no points and waste an effort (efforts are limited), that’s it.
Try to fight opponents who are weaker (preferably, much weaker) than you. They are marked in green.
You have five free challenges each day, and an additional 5 can be purchased for gems.
Every day, you get rewards corresponding to your current position + weekly rewards for each season of Arena.
How to Heal Troops?
Becomes a problem when you are hit hard. Interestingly, severely wounded troops are immediately transferred from far, far away to our Infirmary. You can heal them and even do some local kills before your troops return.
To make healing quicker, you have several options:
- ask for help (amount of “helps” and amount of time reduced by each “help” increases with your Embassy level and with Alliance Tech development)
- use speedups
- If you have a large number of wounded troops and don’t want to use speedups, heal them in small groups (such as by 1000 units, the exact amount you determine empirically) and request help. This will require time and constant help from other players (their fingers might be tired tapping the screens), but such a strategy might save you a lot of speedups and gems.
What are the roles of the Alliance?
Each alliance has its own set of roles depending on its ideology and Feng Shui.
We use such roles:
R4s and R5 jointly coordinate alliance activities (announcements, coordination of team events, diplomacy, banners, technology research, etc.)
R2s and R3s are the majority of players with no specific day-by-day duties
R1s are newbies or those who are inactive for a long time.
What if I attack?
The first priority is to minimize losses. So, try to attack low-level players or players with a low amount of troops. If you are uncertain about the result, call the rally. If you call or join the rally, use only high-level troops. You low-levels might be killed.
Once more, the kill count does not give you anything in the game.
Scout before attacking. Killed /wounded troops without resources are a waste of resources.
Don’t attack members of high-level alliances, because their top players might hit you back in revenge.
What is Hero Gear?
- Any gear is better than none
- Yellow > Purple > Blue > Green > Grey
- You can enhance any gear of any colour, but try to enhance yellow and purple only.
- Focus on your top-5 heroes, which you use for Arena and Conquest
- Yellow gear can be additionally enhanced with hammers (later)
The best ways to obtain regular (grey-green-blue) gear are conquest battles and conquest claims, and Intel missions
Purple and yellow gear can be obtained as rewards for certain events and bought in the Arena shop.
Bear Trap and Fishing events are good for gear enhancement; don’t miss them.
Once more, the kill count does not give you anything in the game.
